Keuka Lake Level Gets New Standards

January 1, 2015

Today DSD Web Works released new lake level standards for the Keuka Lake level monitoring script used to control gate flow from the lake. Keuka Lake association has sponsored the interactive display (chart) that monitors lake level 'live'. These new standards should help better control desired levels and coordinate flow into Seneca lake.

Polyguard Products Receives Contract

Today DSD Web Works submitted a requested contract to Polyguard Products, a 60+ year old Texas based company that holds multiple patents, for the complete redesign of their corporate site. DSD Web Works had the privilege to develop and design a completely custom CMS application for their Architectural Division last year. We are honored to be asked to expand our working relationship with Polyguard.

Wayne History Reviews Data Migration

DSD Web Works, in a consultation role, has advised and updated the Town of Wayne History group on the creation and migration of a 13,000 plus entry flat file data set to a open source custom built content managed system. The new system will be very user friendly and allow for much easier management of the vast collection they are charged to collect, manage and disseminate.

Polyguard Architectural Division Site Enhancments

Today DSD Web Works two significant site enhancements to Polyguard's Architectural Division's site. The first allows admins to assign key required products to typical applications. This allows architects to get a better idea of what is involved for a given application. In addition, DSD Web Works created a new interactive map to allow Polyguard customers to more easily identify Sales Support within specific regions across the country. The intuitive backend created for this application allows for admins to easily assign, manage and modify sales reps across the country.

DSD Web Works Takes Lead in Contract Negotiation On Famous Brands Behalf

Today DSD Web Works help negotiate a contract dispute between a third party software vendor and Famous Brands. A new corporate wide POS / Inventory system was to be implemented. However, the implementation and end product were not satisfactory to the client. DSD Web Works will work toward an amenable separation and contract dissolution.

Hitachi Metals America - First Review of New Site

Today DSD Web Works sent functional mockups of HMA's new site layout. DSD Web Works has been working directly with Hitachi's branding office in Japan to frame all changes within required set parameters. In addition, we have helped coordinate with Hitachi's Network team the configuration of new servers for the required enhancements that the new custom built content managed system will require.

Hitachi Metals America LLC., headquartered in Purchase, NY, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hitachi Metals America Holdings, Inc. and has approximately 1,500 employees as of April 1, 2015. Since its inception in 1965, the company manufactures and markets a broad range of Hitachi Metals products. The number of total employees at the two operating subsidiaries amounts to approximately 7,000 employees as of 4/1/15.

Town of Wayne Contract DSD Web Works

Today the Town of Wayne held their semi-annual meeting in which they selected DSD Web Works to continue managing and maintaining the Town's website. In addition, a number of site enhancements have been contracted to DSD Web Works in order to further improve the usability and value of the website.

Cornell University Contracts DSD Web Works

Cornell University contracted DSD Web Works to migrate a number of regional sites to a new server farm. Server configuration, Database migration and all scripts are to be updated and moved to a new LAMP stuck as provided by Cornell IT. We look forward to taking the lead role on this migration.

Forbes AdWords 102% Increase

Today DSD Web Works reported on their last three months of efforts managing AdWords for Forbes Products. It was reported that all ads were optimized and fine tuned for proper content, phrase (type) and landing page. Optimization efforts resulted in an increase of 102%! Return on investment has been substantially increased with all matrics viewed including clicks, impressions, click through rate, avg. cost per click, conversions and cost per conversion. All these results were accomplished ahead of schedule and we look forward to phase two of our efforts.

Sailor Bags New Design Released

Today DSD Web Works released new design layouts for the Sailor Bags website. The new home page features a more visually appealing presentation and more practical use of 'above the fold' real estate. In addition, DSD Web Works redesigned product pages for better user experience allowing for a more logical eye / task flow when ordering product. The new layout was very well received.

Keuka Lake Association Mobile Application/Presentation Submitted

Today DSD Web Works submitted a plan to create a mobile application and presentation for the relevant and pertinent content for mobile devices. The content will include relevant lake level and lake temperature information which is routinely monitored by many. In addition, it was proposed to create a mini version of the site in mobile format.

Glenn H. Curtiss Museum Ask DSD Web Works

Today DSD Web Works met with Glenn H. Curtiss administrative staff and board members where they asked for us to submit a proposal for a complete new redesign of the museum web site. The new design will include a complete custom CMS and e-commerce component. We are excited to once again create and develop a design for the museum. Hitachi Metals America New Site Release

Today Hitachi Metals America release their new site. The site was developed by DSD Web Works using detailed design guidelines supplied by Hitachi, Ltd. The new site is more dynamic in nature as it is built on a open source, custom built, database driven platform. This allows secure administration of certain content and thus frees dependency for routine changes to the site content. The new look, feel and presentation was released ahead of schedule and all those involved are very pleased with the final creation for this project. DSD Web Works is honored to continue working for Hitachi Metals America.

Town of Gorham Approves Mockups

Today the Town of Gorham personnel reviewed conceptual mockups for the new planned website. Included in the presentation was the planned Database architecture for the custom content managed system to be built by DSD Web Works. The overall impression by the Town was very positive and early full approval may accelerate the completion time for the project.
