Village of Rushville Releases New Website

January 1, 2013

The newly designed website for the Village of Rushville, NY went live today on the Worl Wide Web. The village aims to offer useful information to the residence and visitors to the New York hamlet. The visually appealing website presents the Village profile, Government Information, Village History and readily access to Village minutes, local laws, FAQ and the Village's newsletter, Village Voice.

The entire site was built around a custom content management system (CMS) that allows Village personnel to easily edit, modify and add content to the various information components within the site. DSD Web Works thoroughly enjoyed working with the various Village agencies in creating something that they can all be very proud of.

Sunbright Farms Selects DSD Web Works

January 2, 2013

Sunbright Farms, located in Ila, Georgia, is a large supplier of a wide variety of tree seedlings including shade, ornamental and wildlife trees. Sunbright has asked DSD Web Works for a complete website redesign to include a custom built CMS system, administrative backend, and e-commerce functionality utilizing various shipping APIs. The Sunbright project is scheduled to be released in mid 2013.

Wayne County Landlords Association Hires DSD Web Works

Today Wayne County Landlords Association hired DSD Web Works in a consulting role to review their current website and all web applications addressing both landlords and tenants. A complete audit of the Association's web presence will be made and, upon completion, DSD Web Works will offer guidance and recommendations going forward.

Keuka Lake Gets Lake Level Data Logger Upgrade

February 15, 2013

Today DSD Web Works helped coordinate the efforts of the installation of a new Sutron 8310 data logger to help Keuka Lake Association and the Village of Penn Yan to log both lake level and lake temperature. Custom scripts were created by DSD Web Works to automatically pull data from the logger and display the information in a user friendly, interactive graphs.

News Releases added to Hitachi Metals America

Hitachi Metals America (HMA) contracted with DSD Web Works to design and create a new 'News Releases' section for HMA's web site. The new feature will allow for HMA to better disseminate relevant news to their customers and potential customers.

Today DSD Web Works and Cornell University's Lake Erie Regional Grape Program conducted a workshop on the administration and use of the brand new custom Content Management System (CMS) created by DSD Web Works. The workshop was conducted to allow for initial hands-on experience with the new CMS system that is the backbone for their soon to be released new and informative web site.

Coach and Equipment Manufacturers Receives New Knowledge Base

DSD Web Works delivered a custom content management system (CMS) to Coach and Equipment Manufacturing. The new system allows for the administration and management of an array of documents used internally by the manufacturer and externally by their dealers across North America. The custom application uses a hierarchical administrative backend allowing for the control of company content with regards to viewing, editing or creating. A sophisticated cataloging system was created allowing for easy management of the vast collection of files that include word documents, TIFF files, PDF files, JPEG files, Spreadsheets and more.

Cornell University's Finger Lakes Grape Program Workshop

Today DSD Web Works coordinated the efforts of migrating Wayne County Landlords Association (WCLA) web site to a new semi-dedicated server. In addition, numerous script upgrades were performed to address performance issues. The migration was quick and seamless.

Village of Penn Yan Municipal Utilities Board Workshop

March 20, 2013

Today DSD Web Works held a mini-workshop for the Village's Municipal Utilities Board (MUB) staff to gain hands-on experience with the newly developed gate action application. The new web application allows for MUB staff to easily calculate total discharge from Keuka Lake which is controlled by six gates located at the Main St. bridge. In addition, DSD Web Works created a automatic notification system that sends out lake level, gate action, total discharge and lake temperature to required agencies, municipalities and individuals. The system is scheduled to go 'live' by the end of March.

Keuka Lake Association Requests Site Rebuild

Today DSD Web Works met with members of the Keuka Lake Association to discuss their desire for a new updated web site. The conclusion was that DSD Web Works will build a completely custom Content Management System for the association that will allow for staff and members to easily add, edit, modify and delete content from their site. In addition, new user interfaces will be created to allow for easier navigation throughout the content rich site. An e-commerce component will also be implemented to allow for easy online membership renewal and gifting. DSD Web Works looks forward to the continued relationship with the Keuka Lake Association.

Cornell University's Lake Ontario Fruit Program will receive a completely custom content management system (CMS) designed and developed by DSD Web Works. The CMS will allow all staff and specialists to easily manage the content on their soon to be released new website whose contract was also rewarded to DSD Web Works. DSD Web Works plans on having live working copies of both the front-end presentation and administrative back-end within the next 45 days for review and beta testing.

Today Coach and Equipment Manufacturing, a national leading bus part supplier, selected DSD Web Works to lead the Internet marketing strategy of the newly released Parts site. DSD Web Works will perform extensive keyword analysis research to determine each niche market covering their extensive offerings. Today D. Scott Demmin, President of DSD Web Works, presented a complete overview of Forbes Products online presence. This consisted of a complete review of online competitors, industry keyword phrase research and analysis, SEO and SEM review and analysis and effectiveness of their site layout and navigation. Both positives and negatives were presented and strong suggestions were made for short term and long term strategies on going forward.

Keuka Lake Association Reviews Mockups

Today DSD Web Works presented the Keuka Lake Association (KLA) visual mockups for their new website. The visuals created were used to present the proposed layout and new more efficient and user friendly navigation. Using the KLA repository of beautiful images, DSD Web Works was able to present a very visual driven site that received overwhelming approval by the committee. We look forward to the build out which will consist of a completely custom content management system (CMS).

Cornell University's Lake Ontario Fruit Program Workshop

Today DSD Web Works held a workshop with Cornell University's Lake Ontario Fruit Program that involved the first look of the custom designed content managed system created by DSD Web Works. Participants got their first hands-on look at the powerful administrative back-end that will manage all aspects of their new site. A working copy of the actual site was also presented and the enthusiasm of all those present was overwhelmingly positive.

KWIC Board Workshop

Today DSD Web Works hosted a workshop for the Keuka Lake Watershed Cooperative (KWIC) Board to review the custom built watershed management system built by DSD Web Works. OTIS (Onsite [Wastewater] Treatment Information System), is a rather unique program that simplifies the management of monitoring and enforcing wastewater laws and regulations.

The KWIC board consists of all the Town Supervisors and Mayors of the eight municipalities surrounding Keuka Lake. Today DSD Web Works presented a review of the program and held a round-table conversation on improved reporting by the KWIC manager to the board.

Wayne County Landlords Association Request for Quote

DSD Web Works released a brief entitled Request for Quote - Wayne County Landlords Association (WCLA). The association contracted DSD Web Works to write the brief which helps define the needs WCLA have for a development company to help continued development on their site. DSD Web Works was originally hired by WCLA in a consultation role to evaluate the current associations current Internet status and propose best strategy on moving forward.

Today Bluff Point Association (BPA) released their newly built website. The new site was a result of BPA board members and DSD Web Works that designed and developed a custom built content management system for the association. Hitachi Cable America Inc. (HCA) today became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hitachi Metals America, Ltd. (HMA) as a result of a merger between Hitachi Metals, Ltd. (HML), the parent company of HMA, and Hitachi Cable, Ltd. (HCL), the parent company of HCA. This news was released today on the HMA website.

Today DSD Web Works and Cornell's Northwest New York Diary, Livestock & Field Crops Team (NWNYTeam) released their brand new website. The new site is completely managed by a custom built content management system that allows for all authorized administrative staff to add, edit and modify site content across the site. The build was a group effort that NWNYTeam was active in defining site structure, content and functionality. It was a joy to work with the group and everyone is quite proud of the results.

Keuka Lake Association Website Committee Reviews New Admin

Today DSD Web Works presented a workshop to office staff and the website committee. A complete walk through of the administrative interface was offered, followed by a hands-on workshop. Functions for quick member search and manipulation was performed. In addition, a review of the new credit card processing component was introduced and tested. The overall presentation was concluded with the committee's desire to release the new site.

Cornell University's Eastern New York Commercial Horticulture Program participated in a workshop today experiencing first-hand the use of their new administrative interface. The content management system was created by DSD Web Works to allow for Program personnel to have control over the management of their new site material. They can now easily add, edit and modify all content.

Keuka Lake Association Releases New Website

Keuka Lake Association released their new site which presents a totally different presentation with a more direct navigation system. The new site was built around a completely custom Content Management System that allows in-house personnel to add, edit and modify all site content. In addition, a new e-commerce feature was created allowing for online membership registration and gifting. Release of the site corresponded with the release of new interactive temperature and lake level charts. The new lake level chart reveals gate settings that control the total water discharge out of Keuka Lake.

Keuka Watershed Improvement Cooperative Request New Module

Keuka Watershed Improvement Cooperative (KWIC) contracted with DSD Web Works to create an additional module to their wastewater treatment management system that would allow for a system evaluation process. This includes many different purposes for an evaluation (e.g. new system) and the documentation of the results of the evaluation (e.g. percolation rate). The new function will help manage the status of system within the Keuka Watershed.

The project involves updating their current database and add front-end features for both their members and site visitors. Located outside of Dallas, Texas in Ennis, Polyguard is a private company with offices throughout North America. DSD Web Works has been contracted to create a modern, efficient and clean web presence for one of five company divisions. DSD Web Works will custom build a Content Management System that will allow company employees to easily edit, add and modify site content for the Architectural Division.
